Avoid Standard Cost Variation When Setting Assembly Scrap Rate

Hi gurus,

we have recently start using Assembly Scrap rate index to guarantee a correct planning for component materials of semifinished products with an high scrap rate.

By the way this affects our product standard price (more raw materials, more hours etc..). Even if theorically this is correct, in practice i would like to avoid this automatic redefinition of the standard cost.

Infact we use other monitoring parameters to track scrap costs, and i would like to use assembly scrap rate only for planning without product costing.

Is there any solution that could allow using assembly scrap rate without affecting standard costs?

Does anibody ever face a similar issue?
