Dear,
a) Simple discontinuation:
Material master of the part to be discontinued:
Follow-up material is entered
Discontinuation indicator = "1"
The material is planned using an MRP procedure, for example, MRP type PD.
b) Parallel discontinuation:
Material master of the main part to be discontinued:
Follow-up material is entered
Discontinuation indicator = "1"
The material is planned using an MRP procedure, for example, MRP type PD.
Material master of the dependent parts to be discontinued:
Discontinuation indicator = "3"
Bill of material:
All parts to be discontinued and all follow-up materials are entered in the bill of material.
Materials to be discontinued together have the same group of parts to be discontinued. Exactly one of these materials (the "main part to be discontinued") has the discontinuation indicator "1" in the material master.
The follow-up materials are marked by the follow-up group. The follow-up group must match the respective group of parts to be discontinued
Please test the same and come back.
