Why I get an error "“No handling units for required objects” when I try to process a outbound delivery update via IDOC file? How to resolve this error?

I get an error message “No handling units for required objects”  whenever I try to update a outbound delivery via inbound IDOC file?  Please suggest what is causing this error and what should be the corrective action required.
