is there any way to use SHD0 (TRANSACTION VARIANT) for ALV report based transaction

Hello Gurus,

Can we create screen variants in SHD0 for hiding few fields from output of transaction code like MB51,MB52 etc.

While creating transaction variant for some other requirements I have observed that a user id can only be assigned to one variant group at a time. Can anyone tell me about other limitations of SHD0 transaction ??
